All of these sites are presented by the R-VCR Radio Ranch. The Radio Ranch is a real location at Sybille Canyon narrows, in the heart of Wyoming. Archived here are stacks of audio and visual media, both privately owned and public domain. The collection of pre-1972 audio tape is over a thousand reels. The reason is to provide producers with good quality ready-for-use music for use in television programs and motion picture film soundtracks. Over the last 10 years they have been distributed worldwide, primarily used in cable, television, and film production. Other clients have asked us to provide shopping music, music-on-hold, source tracks for re-issue CD labels, digital entertainment games, what ever can be imagined because with public domain there are no pre-defined limitations.
The music we send out is custom prepared, the CD is burned on-demand. We can prepare both standard audioCD and MP3 CDrom. Most of the PastMasters selections are kept on a master CD which enables a quick turnaround. When source tapes are transfered for a project, the result is a hand crafted masterpiece. You don't need to have a room of antique audio gear to use this music because it comes ready-to-use on CD.
Cost is very reasonable, just $25 per disk, whether audioCD or CDrom. If you need FedEx, then there is a surcharge, or you can provide your FedEx account number. All of our sites provide only public domain music recordings. Exception is pre1972tapes.com which has public domain recordings, but music compositions may require clearances. Payment can be by mail order, or use the excellent facilities of PayPal.
